Down-town Nairobi restaurant Al Yusra was the scene of the October Sandbox Nairobi meetup. The Somali and African continental cuisine set the stage for the night on the 13th of October 2011.

It also happened to be new Sandboxer Alicia Sully's 9th day on her Camel Milk

diet. Al Yusra's one of the only restaurants in Nairobi's city centre that serves camel milk so it fit just perfect.

Present were Jonathan Kalan, Founder of The BoP Project

and photojournalist for Christian Science Monitor, NYT and Huffington Post  Doug Akin co-founder Mr Youth

, world traveller and restaurant owner,  Edmund Page, founder Xavier Project

and Nairobi newbie and Alicia Sully filmmaker with What Took You So Long

and Mark Kaigwa, Nairobi Sandbox Ambassador in what turned out to be a lively discussion on the possibility of an African technology bubble, sustainable enterprise in the AppFrican economy, comparisons between life in NYC and Nairobi and chatting about some new candidates for the Sandbox Network locally.

Sandboxer Jim Chuchu was away filming an earthquake scene for a new video project for Just A Band

and couldn't make it for that reason.

Overall it was a great night and get together that saw us have some great banter over Biryanis
